Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions govern access to the Cokoon website and transactions or requests made through it. By using the website, placing an order, or submitting a booking or inquiry, you agree to these terms and the linked policies.

1. About Cokoon

Cokoon is a mushroom food and farmer-support brand operated by Vescoops Food Processing Pvt Ltd, an initiative associated with Veliyathunadu Service Co-Operative Bank, Kerala. References to “Cokoon”, “we”, “us”, or “our” in these terms refer to the operator of this website and the relevant seller or service provider identified in the order or confirmation.

2. Eligibility and acceptance

You must be legally capable of entering into a binding contract to place an order or make a paid booking. If you act for an organisation, you confirm that you are authorised to bind it.

These terms apply together with the Privacy Policy, Shipping Policy, Cancellation & Refund Policy, product labels, booking confirmations, quotations, invoices, and any specific written terms agreed for training, laboratory, wholesale, infrastructure, farmer-support, or B2B services.

3. Website use

  • Provide complete, current, and accurate information when ordering, registering, or making an inquiry.
  • Do not misuse the website, interfere with its security, attempt unauthorised access, introduce malicious code, scrape protected content, or use the website for unlawful or fraudulent purposes.
  • Keep any account, administrator, payment, or verification credentials confidential and notify us promptly of suspected unauthorised use.

4. Product information and availability

We aim to present accurate names, descriptions, ingredients, weights, prices, images, stock information, usage directions, and availability. Minor variations in colour, appearance, crop, packaging, label design, and photography may occur. The physical pack label and invoice applicable to the supplied product take precedence where information has lawfully changed.

All products, offers, services, and delivery locations are subject to availability and operational feasibility. We may correct an obvious typographical, technical, or pricing error before accepting or dispatching an order.

5. Orders and contract formation

Submitting an order is an offer to purchase. An automated acknowledgement only confirms receipt; an order becomes accepted when we confirm acceptance or dispatch the goods. We may decline or limit an order because of stock, serviceability, payment verification, suspected misuse, pricing error, regulatory restriction, or another reasonable operational issue.

Once an order has been placed, the customer cannot cancel or modify it. If Cokoon cancels an order before fulfilment, any amount collected for that cancelled order will be returned to the original payment method.

6. Prices, taxes, and payment

Prices are shown in Indian Rupees unless stated otherwise. Applicable taxes, delivery charges, and other authorised charges will be displayed or communicated before final confirmation. Payment must be completed through an available authorised method.

A payment may be subject to verification by the bank or payment provider. Cokoon is not responsible for a bank, network, or payment-provider failure, but we will reasonably assist with transaction reconciliation using available records.

7. Shipping, delivery, cancellation, and refunds

Delivery is governed by the Shipping Policy. Customer cancellation is not available after an order is placed, and change-of-mind returns or refunds are not offered.

A refund or other legally appropriate remedy may be approved for a verified manufacturing or quality defect, an incorrect product, delivery damage that makes the product unusable, material inconsistency with the advertised product, or another circumstance where applicable law requires a remedy. Claim requirements and exclusions are set out in the Cancellation & Refund Policy.

8. Food products, allergens, and responsible use

Read the label, ingredients, allergen information, net quantity, batch details, manufacture or packing date, use-by or best-before date, storage instructions, and preparation directions before use. Do not consume a pack that is damaged, tampered with, expired, unusually swollen, leaking, or otherwise unsafe.

Mushroom-based foods are not medicines and are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent disease. Customers with allergies, medical conditions, pregnancy-related dietary concerns, or specialised diets should obtain appropriate professional advice before consumption.

9. Training, laboratory, farmer-support, and B2B services

Dates, trainers, venues, seats, test availability, turnaround times, quotations, project scope, procurement, buy-back support, and supply commitments remain subject to written confirmation and operational feasibility. Training participation does not guarantee yield, income, procurement, employment, certification beyond what is expressly stated, or business success.

Bulk, institutional, infrastructure, laboratory, customised, and partnership engagements may require a separate quotation or agreement. If those specific written terms conflict with these website terms, the specific written terms apply to that engagement.

10. Intellectual property

The Cokoon name, logos, website design, text, graphics, product images, training materials, videos, recipes, and other original content are owned by or licensed to Cokoon. They may not be copied, republished, sold, modified, or used commercially without prior written permission, except as permitted by law.

11. Third-party services and links

The website may link to payment providers, delivery services, social platforms, maps, videos, or other third-party services. Their availability, content, security, and privacy practices are controlled by those third parties. A link does not by itself constitute an endorsement.

12. Liability and force majeure

To the extent permitted by law, Cokoon is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from website interruption, misuse of a product, failure to follow label instructions, unauthorised account use, or events outside reasonable control. Nothing in these terms excludes liability or consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

We are not responsible for delay or failure caused by events beyond reasonable control, including severe weather, flood, epidemic, strike, transport disruption, government restriction, network failure, crop or raw-material shortage, or force majeure. We will take reasonable steps to communicate material disruption.

13. Governing law and grievances

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Subject to mandatory consumer-forum or other statutory jurisdiction, disputes will be handled by courts or competent authorities having jurisdiction in Ernakulam, Kerala.

For an order, payment, website, or service grievance, email info@thecokoon.com or call +91 9188 336 315 with your name, contact details, order or inquiry reference, and a clear description of the issue.
